Aji Sai Plus Resto Lounge :: Preparty Dinner with Tiffany

Stir Fried Beef Udon
stir fried udon with bean sprout, green onion, and cheese, topped with teriyaki beef on a sizzling stone plate

Although the menu lists that there is cheese in the udon, I didn't see or taste it. Other than that, the udon was delicious and quite flavourful. Great for a more filling entreé and for sharing.

Tuna Tataki Roll
green onion, mushroom, & mixed vegetable

Quite disappointed in this roll as wasn't a consistent mixture of vegetables inside. Some rolls were all broccoli. The vegetables weren't too dry but they weren't moist either. Also, the portion of tuna at the top could have been more generous (as 2 of the pieces weren't fully covered!)

One Order of Salmon & Scallop Sashimi

The scallop sashimi was disappointing - it seemed like it was cooked! It was also very rubbery. Not fresh at all. The salmon sashimi was regular quality - not overly fresh though.

Salmon Tataki Roll
avacado, tempura shrimp & cheese with salmon on top

This roll was a lot better than the Tuna Tataki Roll. This roll was much more substantial and flavourful.

Takoyaki
deep fried octopus ball topped with dried bonito flakes & katsuobushi served with 2 assorted sauces

Despite not having the traditional takoyaki presentation with a lot of extra seasonings and sauces - the takoyaki were quite good. Not overly doughy as some restaurant takoyaki are.
